YouTube Premium

YouTube is everything … and everywhere. It’s such a ubiquitous part of our lives, we don’t even think about it. What we do think about are those 5 second ads that keep us from our content. Enter YouTube Premium and a fun campaign to inform people that they can have their cake and eat it too (the cake being unlimited YouTube). No ads and you can download videos for when you don’t have wi-fi.

The story 

In this campaign, we explored YouTube Premium through the lens of the stars of the videos. Ranging from meerkats to Humpty Dumpty to even Saweetie who—just like us—are expecting interruptions to their content. From there they learn that they’re actually on YouTube Premium—and there are no interruptions.

To pull it together, we got to work with YouTube creators, music stars, aliens and some fun found footage to create an eclectic campaign that touched on everything that people go to YouTube for. We made 12 unique spots, with 30, 15, 10 and 6 second cutdowns. Below are a collection of my favorites.
