American Cancer Society

A few times in our careers we get to work on a passion project. In this case, it was the American Cancer Society (ACS). They needed help getting the word out there for their Making Strides walk in Boston. A lot of people—myself included—have been touched by cancer in some form, and breast cancer is no exception. Below is the work we did to help get people inspired and come out for the walk for the Boston chapter of the American Cancer Society for breast cancer awareness.

In the company of women

No one supports women like other women, especially when it comes to breast cancer. So we asked women-owned local businesses in Boston to lend a helping hand in raising awareness for ACS's, Making Strides walk. In addition to their social posts, building buzz around the day, we created a string of social posts on Making Strides own channel. Because they have such little impressions the goal was to create cohesiveness around the walk that would match the branding at the walk. We also created both Snapchat filters and Facebook profile frames.

Day of the event

For the day of the event, Arnold got to design and create a social media tent. They wanted a small tent with posters of the social pinned up. We decided to give them (and the walkers) an experience. With a moving GIF photobooth, pink balloons and heavy branding that matched all the social leading up to it, we had lines and lines of people eager to take pictures and commemorate the event and share all over social. We got over 600 emails and over 200 printouts the day of the walk itself.
